How to Convert Image to a SVG
- Upload Your Image: Start by dragging and dropping or selecting a raster image file (e.g., PNG, JPG). This tool works best for logos, icons, and illustrations. Photos or images with gradients do not convert well. If the generated SVG has rough edges or lost details, try upscaling your image before uploading.
- Refine the Palette: A color palette is automatically generated. You can refine it by clicking on the image to add any missing colors, or remove unwanted ones by clicking the (x) on the color in the palette.
- Adjust Noise Filter (Optional): Use the slider to remove small, unwanted artifacts or details from the image.
- Convert to SVG: Click the "Convert" button. Simpler images convert faster, while complex images with many colors may take up to a minute.
- Preview and Use: Your new SVG will appear on the right, ready to be copied or downloaded for your projects.
FAQ
Are uploaded images stored anywhere?
We only convert the image to SVG. We do not store your image after the conversion completes. Image data is used temporarily during processing and then discarded.
Can I convert photos?
Sadly no. This tool is intended for illustrations, icons, and logos — images with flat colors and little to no gradients, shadows, or photographic detail. Photos typically do not convert well to clean SVGs.
Are the SVGs editable?
Yes. All SVGs are inherently editable, including those produced by this converter. You can edit paths, colors, and other attributes in any SVG editor or text editor.
